Yesterday was BUSY.
Han had a morning creative writing class in Bristol (about a 30 minute drive for us) so we rushed into our clothes and piled in the car. I dropped her off and took the kids to see my vovo (grandmother). It was a short visit, because the class was only an hour, but she still managed to fill my kids with sweet bread and rice pudding. Yum.
Han really enjoyed the class. Which is awesome. I think she will be a great writer. She is such an imaginative person, full of creativity- and she is a voracious reader. So I’m glad we signed up for the class even though it makes Wednesday mornings hectic! This day in particular as we had to run home and get ready for company. Han’s two friends were due to arrive at three o’clock for a sleepover. I love that because we homeschool we can have friends over any day of the week!
I had a lot to do so I popped Cooper into the sling.
Han straightened up the living and computer rooms while I started the bread dough and made up some sweet tea. Why in the world I decided to bake bread AND make soup on the first 85 degree day of the year I couldn’t tell you!
Dawn was really happy to have her baby fix. I was happy Cooper cooperated with the hugging- lately he’s been wary of anyone besides Han and me.
My friend Danielle stopped by with her two kids, and ended up staying for dinner. It was crazy trying to feed everyone- with two adults and a passel of kids aged nine months, two, three, five, six, and the three twelve year old girls around the kitchen table I spent the entire time ladling soup and buttering bread- but I had a really great time!
After everyone left, I got the littles to bed and the girls had some ice cream and watched a movie. I cleaned up the kitchen and went to bed. I was exhausted.
As an added bonus- Cooper must have been super tuckered out from the long day because he slept through the night!

Yay for sleeping through the night!
Totally jealous. There were no school night sleepovers in my childhood.
Awww glad you had a fun evening
