Kitchen Witch Burn Out.

I think I just need a break. I wonder how long the kids can live on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches? Perhaps we can jazz it up with marmalade and almond butter! Ha. They would mutiny after a day or two. Willow would steal a credit card and start ordering the pizza herself. She’d probably lock me out of the house. I wouldn’t be allowed in until I brought her some chicken cordon bleu and a pair of sparkly shoes.

Ostara 2010

March 21st is known as the Spring Equinox, and it is one of the two days a year where there are equal amounts of hours of day and night. Ancient cultures made this day a special holiday. The goddess Eostre was a Germanic goddess of spring. For early Pagans in the Germanic countries, this was a time to celebrate fertility and the planting of seeds.

We made pancakes, planted seeds, and made popovers.

Foodie Friday- My Evolution as a Cook.

After that I discovered how easy it was to make beautiful food in a well organized kitchen. And that whilst my pots were bubbling away, my time was better spent washing up and keeping an eye on my food- where in the past that would have been a good excuse to hop on the internet or watch a little TV.
