Friendship Isn’t Tit for Tat.

Friendship isn’t tit for tat.

Friendship isn’t I gave you this, you owe me that.

Friendship isn’t your loss is too much to bear.

Friendship isn’t “sorry about you miscarriage, now how ’bout we talk about my hair?”

Friendship isn’t about not answering your phone.

Friendship isn’t about dropping someone and leaving them alone.

Friendship should never be about keeping tabs.

Friendship should mean your loyalty isn’t up for grabs.

Friendship isn’t about “what did you do for me?”

Friendship should mean we don’t always have to agree.

Friendship should forever mean through thick and thin.

Friendship should never mean only when you win.

Real friendship can never be sold or bought.

But apparently good manners still need to be taught.

  1. My “best friend” needs to read that. I have been “friends” with her for 10 years and it’s always been all about her. But, I guess I’m a glutton for punishment cause I would keep going back to be her friend. I thought “If I loved her enough she would stop being selfish”, but I was wrong. The more I gave, the more she took. But she was all I had… and then I moved…. now, I miss her. lol I’m an idiot.
