Giveaway: Whirlygirl skirt!

As I’ve mentioned before, I have no interest in monetizing this site and I don’t advertise at all except for a few friends that I think need props for their awesome stuff.  I have a blog because I love to write and it makes me happy to know that so many people enjoy it when I do.  I want to write books that actually get published (oh please!  I hope this happens someday!) and this is my way of practicing my craft every day.

Today I want to show you the adorable things my friend makes in her etsy shop.  She loves to sew, and I am so proud of her for teaching herself to make such great things!  I’m planning to order a custom whirlygirl skirt for Willow soon; my friend graciously offered to send me one- but I think we should support mommy crafters, don’t you?

You have all been so supportive of my craft over the years- I’ve sold over 250 dolls since 2006! So I know how great it feels to have people love the things you’ve created with your own hands!

The Giveaway:

The winner can choose one item from Beafulah on etsy (or a custom piece) worth up to $20.00!  These skirts and shorts come in fun colors and patterns, and they are reversible as well!   This one is my favorite right now…

To Enter:

I’m not a fan of complicated entry rules…

So leave me a comment on my blog and tell me about your favorite etsy crafter- I love checking out new shops!  If you decided to follow me on twitter, facebook, rss feed, or share this post with your friends that would be super cool (because it makes me happy when people read my blog and my stats go up) but it isn’t necessary to win the giveaway.

Don’t forget to visit Beafulah and check out her whirlygirl skirts!

The giveaway closes 12am EST on April 10th, 2011.  I will choose a randomly selected comment to win later that day.

  1. I’m afraid I don’t have a favorite etsy crafter. I never have money to buy such wonderful things so I’ve banned myself from even looking :-(

  2. I have just recently found your blog and I follow you on Facebook as well. Your friend’s skirts are very, very adorable!

One of my favourite Etsy artist is Pip Robbins from right here in Nova Scotia! She makes lovely cowl neck-warmers and other snazzy goodies. Sorry that I don’t know how to make a link, I’m a bit of a technophobe . . .

  3. Hi! Adorable skirts, I love her shop!! I also have an etsy shop (punkrockpigtails) but I love “uffdadesigns” and two of my recent finds have been “The Measure” and “wellies”!

  4. It’s hard to pick ONE favorite Etsy shop, but I got the most adooooorable crocheted baby blanket as a shower gift from my sis-in-law from 123Sheep (http://etsy.com/shop/123sheep). There are some gorgeous little newborn and preemie hats on there now too. Check out the little bumble bee!

    • Hi Emily! You are the winner! Please contact me so that we can get you in touch with MP and her lovely etsy store!

  5. The pirate skirt is really cute.
I’m SO in love with Etsy. I could spend hours just looking. Ya gotta check out SuperSockMonkeys shop. I found them recently through a different giveaway and they have the cutest stuffed toys.

  6. Those skirts are super cute. :) It would be cheating to say I like my own etsy shop (myfunclothes) but I do like the things I make. But another big favorite of mine is mamamade.

  7. Aw, love the skirts! I have three girls, all who love dressing up and one who pretty much LIVES in dresses and skirts (so unlike her mama, ha!) so this is a great giveaway for us!

Oh, etsy, how I adore you. I can’t pick just one! I love my friend Leah’s felted things @ Kneek (http://www.etsy.com/shop/kneek) and another friend’s awesome handmade jewelry at (http://www.etsy.com/shop/jessitaylor).

And lately have been lusting after the hippy clothes for myself at Rhythm Threads (http://www.etsy.com/shop/RhythmThreads), though I’ve never bought anything from there yet!
