Happy Birthday Patrick!

My little boy.  He turned six yesterday.

He is so grown up.  I can still remember how teeny and scrawny he was when I brought him home from the hospital.  He was born June 30th, 2004 at 1:37pm, and he was 6lbs 4oz and 19 1/4 inches long.  It was such a special thing, his birth, because he was born on my father’s birthday and my dad passed away in 1982.  My grandmother was there.  She had always wanted to see a baby coming into the world, so I wanted her there when my first son was born.

We named him Patrick James, after my father Patrick James Stevens.

He is such a sweet and loving person.  He is sensitive and kind and so very smart.

I’m proud to be his momma.

He loves all things Batman right now- so that is what he got.

We bought him a Batman playset, and all the various bad guys and accessories that go along with it.  Willow has been coveting his Robin.  We had to go out and buy her a Robin of her own so he could play with his.

Cooper’s first time at the beach.

We went to the beach on a little lake near my house for his birthday.  All of his friends came with us. It was super fun.   The kids and I are going to try and make it there every week.  It was the perfect beach for little kids!

Even the grown ups had fun.  Linda dug a hole…

For some reason Cooper thought it was BUCKETS OF FUN to sit in the hole.

I don’t know why I don’t have any pictures of Patrick at his birthday beach party.

Major parenting fail.

Happy Birthday Patrick!
