New Hair and my Three Day Birthday!

I went red.

I really love it.  My friend Nina has a traveling spa/salon and she came and did my hair.  She RAWKS.

I’ve been coloring my hair red since I was thirteen (the first time I used koolaid!) but I’ve been hennaing it for the past two years.  I wanted to go bold and bright and I asked Nina to help me.

That was Thursday.  The huz came home on Thursday too.  Thursday was a GREAT day.

Friday morning the huz brought me coffee in bed, and woke me up VERY NICELY.  He told me that because I am turning thirty on Sunday I get a three day birthday!  He is amazing.

And also? I just realized this is probably the last blog post I will write in my twenties.  Which is weird to think about.  I wrote my first when I was twenty-two and newly married and just starting on our journey as homeschoolers.

Back to my birthday:

About a week ago the huz texted me to make sure I wasn’t wearing “ratty house clothes” on Friday night at seven o’clock.  Since then I have been trying to wheedle it out of him, but he would not give me ANY hints.  I’m glad though…  Because last night I got a big surprise!  The ladies from our homeschool group came over for a special girls night.  I always miss out on the monthly “diva’s night” (I’ve missed every one for over a year) ad he knew that made me kind of sad, so he got sneaky and emailed my friend B and planned the whole thing with her.

He went out and bought fried scallops, mozzarella sticks, buffalo chicken, chips and dip, garlic bread and a ton of fancy pizza, and a whole bunch of liquor. We had Bailey’s and Buttershots (my fav combo) several wines, rum, and beer and a half a dozen kinds of soda!  He went all out.  There was so much food!

I had a great time- and as a bonus, we now have a fridge full of leftovers so I don’t have to cook today!

Today my mother is coming over and we will probably have some cake and ice cream.  We are just going to hang out and have family time.  Tomorrow the huz has something else planned… I don’t know what but I was told to keep my morning open until lunch time!

He is the best present giver.  It could be anything…  I hope its a pony.  LOL.
