That was the week that was…

This week has just flown right by!

The huz came home on Sunday.  He was in California- and whenever he is that far away he likes to highlight for home.  His company only has a week to get him home, so he is guaranteed a lovely fat paycheck due his cross-country travels.  I love those weeks.  I get my husband home AND a lovely amount in the family account!

I haven’t had much internet time- so I thought I’d catch you up on my week.

Tuesday we celebrated the huz’s birthday.  His birthday was May 8th, but he was on the road then- so we waited until he was home to have presents and cake and things.  Although- I sent him a folder of very interesting pictures on his real birthday- as a little present.  I won’t go into detail- but let’s just say it wouldn’t be a good thing if I ever run for office and they end up in a tabloid.  Hah.

So the littles and I made him breakfast in bed- blueberry pancakes and bacon and eggs, coffee and juice.  I took him out to an office supply store for a mini spending spree- hey we are soulmates and suckers for clean empty notebooks and snazzy pens.  He also got a nice chunk of change *coughthreehundreddollarscough* to play poker.  He loves poker.  I made us a nice family dinner and then he got his requested cake: angel food cake with fresh whipped cream and sliced strawberries.

Wednesday night I worked.

I had a little henna job for a friend who is getting married this weekend.

I did this really pretty flower design on her feet, her back, and her left hand.

She wanted her hand simple- the design trails from her left hand onto his.

I finally solved my goddess doll baby dilemma!

I’ve been working on a babywearing AND breastfeeding Momma Goddess Doll…  But I couldn’t find a way to make a baby that I liked.  I’ve made a few babies for my dolls before, but I was never happy with the way they turned out.  I was playing around with different ideas a few days ago, and at long last I’ve found a way to make one I REALLY love!

You KNOW you want one.

I’d be happy to make you one!

The huz took us out for ice cream today-

Everyone enjoyed themselves- and Cooper especially loved his very first ice cream cone!

In other news:

I have ducklings in my bathroom.

It is a cool learning experience for the littles.

They are so fuzzy and cute!

But it is very strange to sit in the bathroom for a pee and have four little fuzzy birds staring up at you.
