This has nothing to do with my weekend… Or stress. It is a picture of pretty henna I did last month for a friend.
Pretty henna always cheers me up!
So this weekend was pretty stressful.
(But look! Let’s look at the pretty henna again!)
ahhh… an oldie but goodie- Pretty henna on a beautiful preggy belly. So soothing!
My friend SuzieQ’s kids were here for the weekend. She wasn’t feeling well- so I took them so she could relax for a few days. One of them was a sweetie pie ten year old boy who was happy to play and run around and be happy. The other was an angsty teenage girl who just wanted to be with her FRIENDS. OMG. SHE NEEDED HER FRIENDS. It was very difficult to deal with- and I ended up having a long “come to jesus” type talk with her- but I am confident I handled things reasonably well. I think she might hate me though. LOL. Her mom wants her to come back again- she thinks it might do her some good. I think I might end up getting more than a few more grey hairs.
We had a full house today- the landlord was here with a contractor to see what can be done about the loose and cracking stone tiles in the kitchen. The mortar is coming up in chunks and we are catching our toes on the edges of the tile. They are pretty awesome and always willing to fix the things that go wrong- which I’m grateful for- but I’m worried about how much of an inconvenience it will be whilst this is going on. I get really stressed out when my routine is disrupted!
On top of the two extra kids we had over Tee-Tee was here overnight Saturday. We ended up getting into a ruffled-feathers-hurt feelings mess because I thought she was coming here to see us and she ended up spending most of her time at her boyfriend’s house. Sigh. I get a little sensitive when I feel like a taxi service. And I was feeling extremely frazzled tonight- Cooper would NOT go to sleep. He was really fussy and it was starting to get me down.
I hope we’ll work it out.
